Alan,

LOVED my experience with you guys! I’ll certainly come back. Friendliest, most competent people ever. Many, many thanks to Jerry and Wael. I’m sorry it didn’t take longer to repair my car this morning.

Thanks,
Steve Upshaw

Finding a reliable automotive repair source is one of life’s great anxieties. I’ve been using German Car Repair for several years now and have been delighted with the experience. They recently added Volkswagen and Audi to the line of German cars they repair. If you don’t already have a delightful automotive resource who:

  1. you can trust
  2. does not overcharge
  3. is responsive and honest in recommendations
  4. knows few people have unlimited funds and can provide good, cost-effective options
  5. is a small business who really works hard to earn a good reputation
  6. is conveniently located in Roswell(on Highway 9, 1/5 mile south of Holcomb Bridge Road, by the U Haul facility)

I recommend you bookmark Alan Kidson’s info for the next time you need automotive work.

Dear Alan,

Just a quick note to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent repair/restoration work performed by you and your staff on my 1990 535i. The road-debris damage that I experienced affected many of the mechanical systems on my car, including the engine, suspension, exhaust, chassis and drive train. Needless to say, my car represented a special case that required not only extensive work by your shop, but a good bit of outsourcing as well. The level of effort, coordination and technical expertise required to complete the job was so extensive that my previous shop refused to accept my car for repair. Nevertheless, your shop handled the entire affair with absolute professionalism. Your ongoing communication was refreshing, and I felt fully informed throughout the 4+ months required for completion. I am certain that my car runs as well, and handles better than it did the day that it was delivered to you. You have earned a loyal customer and a reliable source of referral. I commend you and your techs on providing tremendous service and exceptional attention to detail.

Regards,
John McHaney

Alan,

I have expressed my complete satisfaction to you each time I have visited your shop and am glad to have another forum by which to inform others what a fantastic job all of you do at German Car Repair.  Above all, Alan, you run your business with absolute integrity and honesty.  These are qualities that ensure success in anything you would choose to do.  Lucky for many of us, it is German Car Repair, Inc.  I refer as much business as I can to you, knowing that your company possesses these qualities and exactly the right team to convey it.

Dear Alan,

I've been coming to your company for Service on my 2000 BMW 740i since December 2002.  My experience is always good and ranks as the most satisfying I have ever enjoyed with a Service Department.

You and your staff welcome me with a smile and immediately service my car's needs on every visit.  I also appreciate the fact that you take time to check the entire car for any outstanding concerns.

In an age when so many companies don't seem to care about customer service any more, German Car Repair, Inc. does everything you claim you do, with a smile.  I am one satisfied customer, and will continue to be for years to come.

Dear Alan,

With the complexity of new cars, especially premium, foreign cars, many owners are often faced with a dilemma in locating and using the "right" car repair service company. This was true with me prior to bringing my BMW 325 into your shop. Trying to be a prudent consumer, I called around to several other car repair facilities to discuss my needs, their services, and their costs. Needless to say, my findings showed ridiculously overpriced parts, unacceptable time frames for completion of work, inconsistencies on the required parts, and often an unconcerned attitude by some service consultant not involved in the work. I found this to be the case most often with the BMW dealerships that I have used in the past.

I have always been a believer in first impressions, and I received a good one with you from the first time I talked to you and your staff on the telephone. It was obvious to me that you were a professional who knew his business and was not out to gouge the consumer. My decision was made. You repaired my car within the time-frame and cost quoted to me on the phone.

In addition to satisfactorily repairing my car, you also provided me with unsolicited advice on issues regarding the warranty service being provided by the dealer on my other BMW car. All in all, my experience was good in dealing with you and your company. The other testimonials on your web page espousing your fine services prompted me to call you in the first place. It is my opinion that they hit the nail on the head. Not only will I not hesitate in coming back to you for future services, but I will also highly recommend your shop to others. Keep up the good work and your good integrity - a rare commodity in today's car repair service industry!

Dear Alan,

I bought my BMW 850 two and a half years ago.  It was my first experience with this type of car.  Originally, I found your shop by chance when I was looking on the BMW CCA (Peachtree) website.  I thank God that I happened upon your shop because the customer and mechanical service has been beyond anything I have ever experienced.  All of you (Alan, Wael, Jerry and Yvette) operate your business with integrity, honesty, and kindness.  I actually enjoy coming to your shop because I know it will be a great experience.  Beyond the very best service to my vehicle, Alan and Wael, you have taken the time to give me invaluable knowledge about caring for my car when it’s not in the shop.  As you know, I am a perfectionist by nature and my car never even drives in the rain.  Alan and Wael, thanks for treating my vehicle, as if it was your own.  You both are very particular and exact in all the work you do and I am amazed at your knowledge of the vehicle.  Although I don’t drive a Porsche, I hear from other customers that Jerry is the best Porsche mechanic in the U.S.A.  There is no one (including the dealerships) more knowledgeable or capable of fixing my car than both of you – and I can absolutely say that every time I have brought my car in for service it was diagnosed and fixed properly.  Plus, I don’t worry that something unnecessary is being done.  I have absolute peace of mind.

Just recently, I had a major service done involving leaking valve gasket covers and misfiring sparkplugs.  After the service, the car ran like new (all twelve cylinders).  The cost of the service was half of what it would have been at a dealership.  Thanks again for all the A+++ service.  I take every opportunity to recommend your shop to anyone with a German car.  In fact, one of my major reasons for not moving from this area is your shop.  I’m totally hooked.  I’ll see you at my next service, or just to drop in.

Thanks,

Dear Alan:

I am writing to tell you how impressed I am with the reception and service that you and your staff have given me.

This quote recently appeared in an article on small business success:

“For potential customers, there is a certain amount of risk associated with buying your product or service. And until you reduce this perceived risk, they will often ‘vote with their wallets’ and spend their money with your competitors. The number one rule with reducing perceived risk is this: “Everything counts.” In other words, everything you do or say when interacting with a prospective customer has an impact –positive or negative – on how risky they think it is to buy your product or service. Everything you say or do make your customer think it’s either more risky or less risky to do business with you.”

German Car Repair is the epitome of the “low risk” business.

When Matt Cronley referred me to you after my wife bought me the Boxter, he promised me that you were the best in town. From the moment I called to book my first service I knew that he was right. When your wife answered the phone she treated me as a family member not a customer.  And so it went from there … giving me your cell number, having a loaner car when I needed it, the technician replacing a burned out bulb gratis and unasked, taking care of the emissions test, avoiding a $1,800 part cost with a simple weld, using your contacts at Porsche to solve a rare and puzzling computer problem. Throughout the process I always felt that I was getting the “straight goods” from a man who not only possesses exceptional technical expertise but who conducts himself and his business with the utmost professionalism and integrity.

Your business succeeds on many levels because you earn that success in many ways and you can count on me as a customer for life and enthusiastically referring others.

Alan,

I just wanted to congratulate you and your team on a truly excellent level of customer service. Until I started using German Car Repair, I had nothing but bad experiences trying to find the right facility to look after my Mercedes and Porsche.

The dealerships are overpriced and under-experienced and I have also learnt, to my cost, that, just because a facility has “specialty, performance, or import” in its name, it doesn’t guarantee any acceptable level of service or technical knowledge.

German Car Repair is without question the best repair and service facility in the area.

Thank you and best regards,

Dear Mr. Kidson,

I wanted to drop you a line and thank you for my most recent service on my Porsche.  It was so obvious as soon as I walked into the shop, that you and Jerry Weiden take lots of pride in your work.  Being rather fanatical about the condition of my vehicle, I’m always concerned about the care it will receive.  For the first time ever, I have met a technician who actually knows my car better than even I do.  Also, one that pays more attention to detail, than I even thought possible.  So far the experience has been absolutely unparalleled -- truly a breath of relief, as well as fresh air.

After dealing with another shop that I had been going to for years, I realized not only was the workmanship sub par, but the issues with my car had been completely misdiagnosed.  This subsequently led to thousands of dollars in mistakes.  After dealing with German Car Repair, I was not only educated as to the special needs of my vehicle, but empowered with confidence I received from the straightforward, no-nonsense methods of customer service I experienced from you and Jerry.  Once again, thank you for the outstanding job.  I look forward to many years of service from German Car Repair.

Dear Alan,

I just wanted to take the time to send a special thank you for taking such good care of my BMW 325ic.

Every time I come into your shop for service, I walk away from the experience with a smile on my face.  I assure you this is not something that happens very often when you are dealing with car repair and service issues.

Your service is always “spot on”, your work is timely and thorough, and you don’t ever overcharge for the great work that you do.

I will stand on my soap box and tell anyone and everyone that has a German car to come to your shop for the very best service in the Atlanta area.  Going anywhere else is quite simply a waste of time and money in my opinion.

Thank you again for the excellent service, and in advance for the continued business that you will get from me as time goes by.

Dear Alan,

I am just so elated with the customizations that you performed on my Bimmer.  You have managed to transform an average 330i into a real work of art.  The professionalism of you and your staff is most definitely at the highest level I have ever seen.  You did such a wonderful job of project management and guiding me to all the right touches, and we had a fun time in the process.  You are absolutely at the top of your game.  I look forward to implementing some of your other great suggestions.

Please feel free to refer any “Doubting Thomas” over to me so that I may evangelize about you and your work.

My sincerest thanks and regards,
